Skiing is part of our family life. Through volunteering in regional racing and supporting young talent, we’re helping others take their next step in the sport.

Helping regional
skiing thrive.
Alongside his work with Smart Build Kent, Gary serves as LSERSA Regional Secretary and Marketing & Sponsorship Officer.
He is involved in the organisation’s day-to-day running, helping promote regional skiing and bring in sponsorship to support the sport. It’s a commitment that extends well beyond race day.
02 · A family connection
A passion shared
on the slopes.
Gary’s son Joe Marks also races, giving the family a first-hand understanding of the training, effort and commitment behind each result.
In 2025, Joe won the LSERSA championship series. He also finished fourth in the male under-18 category at the 2025 All England Championships at Chatham—a result we’re proud to recognise.
Those experiences are part of why supporting the next generation of racers matters to us.
03 · Supporting young talent
Helping Ethan
take his next step.
Smart Build Kent sponsors young ski racer Ethan Coles, who competes in the under-10 age group. Ethan was LSERSA overall champion in 2025.
We’re supporting his development with the aim of helping him progress onto the bigger snow racing circuit. It’s about giving a young racer encouragement and the opportunity to keep learning as his experience grows.
SBK’s sponsorship of Ethan is separate from Gary’s roles at LSERSA.
